Located at 140 Tabernacle Street, City of London EC2, Shoreditch fire station was built in 1896 for the Metropolitan Fire Brigade.. The widespread introduction of motorised fire engines saw a reduction in the number of fire stations required. Shoreditch remains operational today, in a new station built in 1964. Date: 1913
