Synagogue Temple Beth-El, 5th Avenue, New York
Built in 1891 by architect Arnold Brunner in Indiana lime stone to cater for the large Jewish community living in New York. The Jewish community thrived since its first settlers arrived in 1654 during the Dutch period. Located at the point of 5th avenues meeting with 76th street this stunning building was sadly demolished in 1929 to make way for an apartment house. Date: 1902
