LCC-MFB Vauxhall fire station, Lambeth
Built by the London County Council (LCC), Vauxhall fire station opened in 1902 on the Albert Embankment (Vauxhall Bridge end). In 1918 seven firemen were killed at a fire on the Albert Embankment, four of them coming from Vauxhall station. The station closed in 1937 when the new London Fire Brigade Headquarters and Lambeth fire station opened at the eastern end of the Albert Embankment
