LCC-MFB Wandsworth fire station, SW London
Built by the London County Council, Wandsworth fire station was located at 45 West Hill SW18. During WW2 the station suffered a direct hit and six on-duty firemen were killed. The station was rebuilt and remained operational until 1958 when it was demolished to make way for the new Wandsworth fire station on the same site
