LCC- MFB Vauxhall fire station, Lambeth
Built in the last year of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (1903), prior to the Brigade changing its name to the London Fire Brigade in 1904, this station remained open until 1937 when the new Lambeth Brigade headquarters was opened. Both stations were located on the Albert Embankment. In 1918 seven firemen were killed at a fire on the Albert Embankment, four of the firemen coming from Vauxhall station
