LCC-LFB Lee Green sub-station, Lewisham
London was expanding and the London Fire Brigade not only built new fire stations but took over existing buildings and converted them. Lee Green is an example, located at 345 Lee High Road, SE London, in a parade of shops and dwellings. It opened in 1895 and transferred to the purpose made Lee Green fire station (just along the road) in 1905
