An etching of a market square with tall, half timbered houses in Rouen, France. It was by the location where Joan of Arc was burned alive, on May 30th, 1431, as a result of the Catholic Church not wanting to tolerate having people talking directly to God, the trial resulted in the French heroine becoming a martyr. Date: circa 1921
