These images show the Skeleton Army, opponents of the Salvation Army organised by those interested in Sunday drinking, rioting against one of the Salvation Army's religious Sunday processions. The Inauguration (on 30th August, 1907) of The equestrian Monument to the Tsar Liberator in the centre of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It was erected in honour of Russian Emperor Alexander II who liberated Bulgaria from Ottoman rule during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78. The monument is located on Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard, facing the National Assembly of Bulgaria Date: 1907
