Selection of suffragette banners 1908
Some of the 770 banners carried by suffragettes and suffragists as they marched from the embankment to the Royal Albert Hall. The National Union of Womens Suffrage Societies meeting, 13 June 1908, took place in the Hall, often affectionately referred to as the " Temple of Liberty" by the women.
