Caricature of Harry Paulton, actor and dramatist
Caricature of Harry Paulton (1842-1917), actor and dramatist. Seen here outside the Avenue Theatre, London, in cloak and hat -- Manteaux Noirs; or, a Tale of the Embankment. The theatre manager (probably Edmund Burke) calls him My Preserver! The comic opera was written by W Parke and Harry Paulton, with music by P Bucalossi; Paulton was also a cast member.
