According to The Sketch, the child attendants wore long-skired frocks of cream tulle with gold tissue bodices and the grown-up bridesmaids had parchment coloured skirts.

From front to back: Bentley car no.1 with Leslie Callingham (1888-1960) thrown clear, Bentley car no.2 with George Duller (1891-1962) jumping, Bentley no.3 of Sydney Charles Houghton "Sammy" Davis (1887-1981), the eventual race winner along with alternate driver Dr Joseph Dudley Benjafield (1887-1957) and a Schneider that had skidded (driven by Pierre Tabourin). Cartoon, The Church and Stage Guild -- Playful Kittens! The Church and Stage Guild was formed in May 1879, with a view to breaking down prejudice against the theatre and its performers. By the time of this cartoon, it had nearly 500 members from the clergy and the theatrical world. The clergyman at the centre is Stewart Headlam (1847-1924), founder of the Guild.
