Victor Stiebel (1907-1976), British fashion designer, contemporary of Norman Hartnell who designed for royalty and Hollywood stars. Pictured talking to Mrs Fay Gill at a reception of fashion buyers from overseas held at the Mansion House in the City of London in 1955. The reception was given by Lady Pamela Berry (formerly Lady Pamela Smith) and was attended by Londons leading designers, overseas buyers, Press representatives, the President of the Board of Trade, Mr Peter Thorneycroft and his wife and the Duchess of Gloucester.
