Tooting Bec Asylum, Surrey
The Tooting Bec Asylum, at Tooting Graveney (then in Surrey, now in south west London), was erected in 1899-1903 by the Metropolitan Asylums Board. It provided care for senile patients, infirm epileptics, and others requiring exceptional individual attention. In 1924 it was renamed Tooting Bec Mental Hospital, and then later became Tooting Bec Hospital
