Temple of Mithras, Walbrook
A view from above of the site of the Roman Mithraic Temple uncovered in Walbrook, a street in the City of London, during excavations before the construction of a new office building. The site was opened for public viewing for a short period and many thousands came to view the remains, as can be seen here. The remains were relocated to nearby Temple Court to enable the site to be developed as planned, but in recent years there have been plans to restore it to the original location.
