Opened in 1904 and located in Pickering Place, Bayswater fire station closed in the early 1920s. The adoption of motorised fire engines by the London Fire Brigade led to a reduction in the number of fire stations required. A report produced for the London Country Council (Londons fire authority) in 1920 recommended the closure of 15 stations, and Bayswater was one of those
