A strong Art Deco and Modernist design for the fairgrounds featuring ?a visual epitomisation? (World?s Fair, p218) of the Trylon and Perisphere rising over the silhouette of a New York City train and ship. Binder?s design was awarded first prize in the poster competition for the Fair in 1938.
