The House of Mystery
Aquatint etching showing a large house with many square muntin windows, it is not known why this house has a mysterious label. In fact, this is without doubt, Blagraves House, The Bank, Barnard Castle, Co. Durham, the oldest house in the Teesdale market town, where Oliver Cromwell once reputedly stayed. It is a now an atmospheric restaurant. Date: circa 1929
