The Beetle, by J B Fagan, Charles Freeman and George S King from the novel by Richard Marsh (1897). First produced at the Repertory Theatre, Plymouth, November 1925. Touring to the Royal County Theatre, Bedford. The hero has strangled an Egyptian princess who turned into a beetle and has haunted him ever since. Date: 1925
