The Eastcastle Street Robbery, 1952
A page from the Illustrated London News, detailing the Eastcastle Street Robbery of 1952, when a Post Office van was hijacked and it's contents, 200, 000 in soiled notes, were stolen. The scene of the crime, the stolen mail van, the bolt cutters and raincoat found at the scene of the crime are detailed. The crime was never solved, and the money never recovered.
