A long line of passengers and staff waiting on the platform at Goodwick Railway Station on the Great Western Railway, Pembrokeshire, Dyfed, South Wales. They are all looking across at the camera. Two railwaymen stand on the front of a locomotive called Ringing Rock on the right. The station opened in 1899. In 1904 it was renamed Fishguard & Goodwick. It closed in 1964, but there are hopes that it will reopen one day.

A group of twenty Welsh women road builders in Pembrokeshire, Dyfed, South Wales, holding their spades. They built the road to Hook in 1903-4 to facilitate transport to the colliery. They also worked at the colliery itself and gathered 'boughs' which were used as pit props, for which they were paid ninepence per hundredweight "

Brunels SS Great Eastern, Milford Haven, South Wales

Brunel's iron sailing steamship, the SS Great Eastern, berthed at Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, South Wales, during the 1870s. The ship is so large that it runs the length of Hamilton Terrace. Around this time the ship was being used for the laying of submarine telegraph cables. She was eventually broken up in 1889-1890.
