A double page spread of photographs presenting some of the notable personalities and the costumes they wore to the Victory Ball at the Albert Hall on the 27 November 1918. The cream of society attended the event which sold 4000 tickets in aid of the Nations Fund for Nurses. Among the people pictured here are Hazel, Lady Lavery (one of the organisers), wife of the painter Sir John Lavery, Miss Marjorie Gordon in an aviators outfit, the actress Doris Keane in a 200 year old Spanish lace shawl and Lady Diana Manners - who headed the grand procession - as Britannia.
