Machnow the Giant & Madame Chiquita, London Hippodrome
Machnow the Russian giant, appearing at the London Hippodrome in 1905, pictured with the tiny, eighteen inch high Madame Chiquita, who introduced Machnow to the audience each performance. Machnow allegedly measured 9 3" but its likely he was closer to 7 102", his fur hat adding considerably to his height. Date: 1902
