Front cover of Printers Pie magazine for 1911, illustrated by John Hassall and featuring one of his typical medieval characters chasing after a dog. Printers Pie was published by The Sphere and Tatler in aid of printers charities and edited by W. Hugh Spottiswoode. A sister publication, Winters Pie, was published each Christmas. Both magazines carried contributions from the leading artists and humorous writers of the day including John Hassall (who designed the covers), William Heath Robinson, Lawson Wood and Walter Emanuel. 10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
