George VI Coronation Procession - the State Coach
The State Coach, carrying King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to in from their Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 12 May 1937, pictured in procession outside the Abbey. The coach was built for King George III who drove in it to open Parliament in 1762 and has been used for every coronation since that of George IV. Date: 1937
