Promotional card showing Tom H. Taylors production of The Female Swindler by Walter Melville which was first produced at the Terriss Theatre in Rotherhithe, London on 12th October 1903. The detective hero is being hauled out of the river. The eponymous villainess, Lu Valroy, turns out not to be as wicked as most of the Melville brothers wicked women. She and the detective chasing her are mutually attracted and end up together. Date: 1903
