Workers Reply to General Sir Douglas Haig -- the wording of a Resolution passed at the Trade Union Conference at Caxton Hall on 18 July 1916, informing the General that men and women engaged in munitions work during the First World War are willing to postpone their holidays to ensure the continuing supply of ammunition, guns and other war material. It is signed by Arthur Henderson, Chairman (also a Labour politician). Date: July 1916
