Suffrage N.U.W.S.S Croydon Branch 1909. In November 1909, the Croydon Branch of the National Union of Womens Suffrage Societies organised a Suffrage Week. On 10th and 11th November, the branch held a fundraising red and white sale which was opened by Miss Alice Abadam (C1856-1940) then president of the Beckenham Branch, London Society. Suffrage banners hang on the wall, lent to the branch for their procession on 9th November. Including Lucy Stone & Jenny Lind (both Mary lowndes) Date: 1909
