Shortage of ammunitions 1916
During the early months of World War One the British force suffered greatly through shortage of ammunitions. A tremendous drive by Mr. Lloyd George as minister of munitions at the time, put matters right, and from mid 1916 the guns were kept well supplied, for the remainder of the War the British were superior in artillery on the Western Front.
