San Stefano Station - Constantinople, Turkey
San Stefano Station - Constantinople, Turkey. Now known as Yesilkoy. Located on the Marmaris Sea, 11km west of Istanbuls city centre. Today also has Istanbuls main airport nearby, but used to be a mere village and sea resort. Thousands of cholera-inflicted troops who died during the Balkan War were buried close to the train station. Gained its new name in 1926 due to the legislation which imposed a Turkish name on each community. Famous for Art Nouveau wooden houses
