An early, undated photograph of a smiling King George VI (1895-1952), and his wife Queen Elizabeth(the Queen Mother)(1900-2002)at Ballater railway station, Scotland. Dressed informally, with the Queen Mother sporting a cloche hat and an off the shoulder fur stole, they are accompanied by a dog on a leash, and followed by a railway worker. Ballater was the nearest railway station to Balmoral Castle, until it was then closed by the British Railways Board in 1966, as part of the "Beeching cuts"

Indian feminist agitation for the political equality of women. Gandhi drove the efforts to bring about a solution of England without violence while preserving the religious and cultural identity of the Indian people. Date: September 1927
