Phyllis Blackmore, wife of Edward Blackmore, an Eastbourne plumber. Both of them were adopted members of the North American Sioux Indian Tribe. In 1964 Edward travelled to South Dakota to meet the tribe, and during his visit he was made a Chief. He became an international expert on the tribe since first becoming fascinated by the subject in 1919. Phyllis is seen here in Native American Indian costume with a collection of tribal items.
