Kenneth Kendall with teddy bears

Kenneth Kendall (1924-2012), British broadcaster. He worked for many years as a newsreader for the BBC and other channels, and also hosted the game show Treasure Hunt for Channel 4 (1982-1989). Seen here with three teddy bears, part of a large collection. At the time of this photograph he was living in West Cornwall. He later lived in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Date: circa 1970s

George Chapman, spiritual healer and medium

George Chapman (1921-2006), English trance spiritual healer and medium. He was active for 60 years through the spirit of Dr William Lang (1852-1937), an ophthalmic surgeon at London's Middlesex Hospital until 1914, and conducted spirit operations on patients. Sir Arthur Markham(1866-1916), 1st Baronet Markham of Arusha(East Africa), and Liberal MP for Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. A noted industrialist, he also campaigned to prevent under aged boys(those under the age of 18) signing up for military service in the British Army during World War One
