Queen Mary Ocean Liner, journey down the Clyde

Queen Mary Ocean Liner, about to embark on her first journey down the river Clyde to Greenock and onto open sea, described as " the most dangerous voyage" the Queen Mary was likely ever to have to make. Watched by some of the thousands that had worked upon her, where she had been a familiar landmark. Passing on the way lyng off Greenock was the luxurious ocean liner L Atlantique a French vessel, which was burned out in 1933 and been broken up. Date: March 1936
