Programme cover, Gala Concert of French Music in aid of the war victims in Normandy, and of the funds of the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmens Families Association, at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, SW London, on 8 November 1944 at 2.30pm. The programme included the French and British national anthems, and items by Gounod, Bizet, Saint-Saens, Duparc (vocal soloist Maggie Teyte) and Franck, with Sir Adrian Boult conducting the London Symphony Orchestra (leader George Stratton). The two pianists were Cyril Smith and Phyllis Sellick, and the organist was Arnold Greir. Date: 1944
