Announcing that a new form of entertainment - an English version of the French revue, with satire on the events of the past year in a single story. Many of the figures are from popular plays The Little Minister, The Geisha. A Greek Slave, and The Tyranny of Tears. Billed as The Greatest Success Known in London for Years cartoons of George R. Sims, W. G. Grace and Emil Zola are shown, and the Drury Lane melodrama The Great Ruby, a satire on which provided the revues framework. Date: 1899
