Poore in his 3.8 Alfa-Romeo and Leslie Johnson in the E-type 1 1/2 litre E.R.A. top the rise after St. Marys Corner as they battle for second place behind R. Parnell. After a great struggle Poore just managed to get his nose in front by two seconds. Their high standard of driving was much appreciated by the very large crowds which attended this successful meeting at the Duke of Richmonds aerodrome circuit
