Statue of the Duke of Wellington, Aldershot
The statue of the Duke of Wellington in Aldershot, Hamphire, England. It was originally built in 1846 to commemorate Arthur Wellesley (1769-1852), 1st Duke of Wellington. However, regarded as an eyesore by Queen Victoria, it was moved to Aldershot Military Town in August 1885, which at the time was no small feat. Date: 1885
