Sikorsky HH-3E Jolly Green Giant 66-13281
United States Air Force - Sikorsky HH-3E Jolly Green Giant (msn 61579) of the 48th Aerospace rescue and Recovery Squadron, at the June 1967 Paris Air Show, with airshow serial H-211'. Whilst flying with the 37th ARRS, 13281 was shot down by ground fire during an SAR mission in Laos, on 24 October 1969. All 4 crew survived and were rescued, but the helicopter was destroyed by friendly fire to prevent capture of useful equipment. Date: 1967
