The Serbo-Bulgarian War Winds Down
Scenes from the ending of the Serbo-Bulgarian War. Serbian families and soldiers read from a list of casualties in Belgrade, and Count Khievenhuller, Austrian diplomatic resident at Belgrade, arrives at Pirot with truce proposals. The war lasted two weeks from 14th - 28th November, started by Serbia in protest at the unification of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia, although the Serbs were decisively defeated. Date: 1885
