The remains of the animal the Mylodon
Five separate images showing the remains of the animal the Mylodon. Mylodon is an extinct genus of ground sloths that lived in South America; Patagonia. The most recent credible date obtained from its remains has been reported to be 10, 200 BP. The first image shows the under side of the skin of the Mylodon. Image two shows a restoration of the mylodon made with present knowledge of its skull, skeleton, and skin. Its huge lower limbs and tail formed a tripod from which it could exert enormous strength in the pulling down of trees. The third image shows a skeleton of the giant ground sloth standing erect. The fourth image shows the skull of the Mylodon. And the final image shows a giant sloth at crystal palace. Date: 1900
