Don Ramiro's dream. Illustration that represents one of the moments before the Battle of Clavijo (May 23, 844). The King of Asturias Ramiro I (791-850), on the eve of the battle and while he slept, had a dream in which James (St. James the Apostle) appeared to him, suggesting his miraculous intervention to help the Christians win the war, advising him go into battle the next day.
