The trading floor New York Stock Exchange is forced to close due to tear gas bomb fumes - noon on 4th August 1933. The bombs had apparently been tossed into the ventilating apparatus. The sudden closing was the first since September 16th, 1920, when 30 people were killed by a bomb at the Exchange. Date: 1933
