Sign of the Dog and Duck
The Dog and Duck was a tavern built on St Georges Fields in London in the 17th century. It was named after the sport of duck-baiting, that took place in adjacent wetland. The tavern lost its licence in 1799. The inn sign is now in the collection of the Cuming Museum (closed due to a fire) on Walworth Road, London. Date: 1875
