The Sketch featured this picture in their We Take Off Our Hat To- page on 18th June 1941. " Mabel Knibbs of Windsor, fourteen year old member of the Windsor Youth Club detatchment, was parading during War Weapons Week when she dropped her handbag, and a car ran over it. The two Princesses were watching the incident, told the Queen, whereupon her Majesty sent the child a new navy blue handbag to replace the lost one." Date: 1941
