Leopold I of Belgium - King of the Belgians (1790-1865) - a German prince who became the first King of the Belgians following the countrys independence in 1830. He reigned between July 1831 and December 1865. This particular card is celebrating the 100 year anniversary (in 1949) of Belgiums first stamp issue: the Epaulettes of 1849. Date: circa 1840s
