Field gun and soldier statues, Plugstreet Experience
The gun and the statues, which are cut-outs made from steel sheets, are in the grounds of the Plugstreet 14-18 Experience (Interpretation Centre). It was inaugurated on 9 November 2013 and it is built below ground under a glass pyramid. In this area Australian Mining Companies were very active and, at the inauguration, a bas relief memorial to The Australian Mining Corps 1916-19 was unveiled by donor Ross J Thomas. Another version of this is in Townsville, Australia. Date: 2016
