A disabled childrens ward at Caterham Imbeciles Asylum. Like its twin at Leavesden, the asylum was established in 1870 by the Metropolitan Asylums Board for Londons sick poor with mental conditions such as epilepsy and severe learning difficulties. Date: circa 1923
