Glengarry badge, other ranks?, 30th (Cambridgeshire) Regiment of Foot, 1874-1881.Brass.The badge of this regiment consists of three ?Xs? (Roman numerals for 30) surrounded by a title ribbon inscribed with the motto Spectemur Agendo (meaning Let Us Be Judged By Our Deeds ). These are flanked by laurel leaves and surmouted with a Sphinx, an emblem granted to the 30th Foot following their service in Egypt in 1801. Date: 1874
