First produced at the Theatre Royal, Portsmouth, 21st October 1921 and Garrick Theatre, 22nd March 1922. Hicks, who was also the leading man, is shown. The portrait in the frame is of his wife and leading lady, Ellaline Terriss. For the Lyceum Theatre revival, 28th March 1929. The image was also used for the front page of the programme. Date: 1929
