The Earl and the Girl by Seymour Hicks (30 January 1871 6 April 1949), with music by Ivan Caryll (12 May 1861 29 November 1921). First produced at the Adelphi Theatre, on 10th December 1903. The caption is The Minuet. In the conservatory at Stole Hall, Jim Cheese is in ermine and wearing a coronet because he is impersonating the Earl. His dance partner, Virginia Bliss, stands over him. (Act II). Touring to the Theatre Royal, Brighton, on 31st October 1906. Date: 1906

The Catch of the Season by Seymour Hicks and Cosmo Hamilton, with music by Herbert Haines and Evelyn Baker. The flyer is headed 'Mr George Dance's Co, by arrangement with Charles Frohman'. Seymour Hicks wrote the part of the Duke of St. Jermyns for himself. He is recognisable as the man on the left standing sheepishly with his back to a long row of women dressed for dancing, all are looking hopefully his way. He holds his hat in his hands and is looking nervously over his shoulder. The caption below says 'Duke, We Are All Unmarried'.
